维新村是罗东镇下辖的行政村，村委会所在地在镇政府所在地南边1.7公里左右，村民散居于梅仙公路以东的丘陵盆地中[1]。村名取锐意改革、维护村民利益之意[1][3]。2022年12月，福建省爱卫会授予维新村「2022年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，智新、竟新和维新三保并成一个乡，乡名就取维新[2]。解放后这里叫候安乡，合作化后分出两个大队[2]。

1984年这里归罗东乡管辖，村名为维新村；1988年罗东建镇，村随之并入罗东镇，并设立村民委员会[2]。
