西上村位于诗山镇政府驻地北面，沿泉永德公路分布。村名取自早期的“溪西”与“溪上”两个保，各取一字合成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
中华人民共和国成立后，溪西、溪上两保合并为西上乡。公社化之际（1958年），这里分设西上、塔口两个大队，1965年又合并成西上大队，1984年才称诗山镇西上村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中的长潭桥，据维基百科所载，是诗山十八景“长潭秋月”的所在。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，西上村进入「2020年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」名单，产品为生猪。2021年12月，村子又获认定为「泉州市2019—2021年度市级“一村一品”专业村（乡镇）」，主导产业同为生猪。[1]
