东埔村位于晋江市沿海西南部，属英林镇，北靠大觉山，东邻西垵村，南接埭边村，西与东石镇金泽村为邻。村中以吴姓为主，其先祖自灵水分支而来，已在此繁衍六百余年。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

东埔吴氏始祖为先达，明洪武元年（1368年）在此肇基。明永乐元年（1403年）那年，二世吴可庵被钦授“奉直大夫”，任四川成都府。[1]

近年来，村里大力发展石材业与服装加工业。[2]
