长埔村位于内坑镇西北约5公里处，靠近九十九溪北岸，西面与南安县相接。村名经历了由长丰到长坡再到长埔的变化。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，王氏十九世祖宗敬因朝政纷争、权臣当道而遭诬害，迁来此地定居，最初取名长丰，后因此地为大片荒草坡地，改名长坡。长坡与长埔方言同音同义，遂谐称长埔。[1]
明清时属四都，民国三十三年归亲民乡丰田保管辖。新中国成立后，1956年隶属天亮乡，1959年一度归磁灶公社管辖；1961年起由内坑公社统辖，设长埔大队。1984年起由乡统辖，1992年起由镇统辖。[1]
文化[edit]
2025年3月，本村被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」；2023年2月，入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单；2022年12月，本村获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名。[1]
