后山社区处在深沪半岛北端，紧邻国家中心渔港，与深沪商业码头隔海相对。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地以半岛形势得名：半岛南端为前、北端为后，村落在北端山的背面，故称后山。[1]

1944年属深沪镇后山保，建国后一度为深沪公社后山大队的辖地，1984年才改设深沪镇后山居委会。[1]

2021年2月，社区入选福建省「2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；同年6月被命名为「2020年度晋江市平安村（社区）」，评为五星级；同年11月，福建省爱卫办命名社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
