地名由来[edit]

村址原称梅林前埔。宋时坡地上建园林，广植梅树，聚居成村后，因村东北角有一口大池塘，取名梅塘。[2]

宋时属安仁乡仁和里，元、明、清属十一都。[2]

人口[edit]

共535户，常住人口1922人，设13个村民小组。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年10月，梅塘村被确定为泉州市2024年度市级「一村一品」专业村，主导产业为胡萝卜。[2]

2025年11月，梅塘村被确定为福建省2025年度省级「一村一品」专业村（胡萝卜）。[2]
