石壁村是蚶江镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府驻地南面，莲山西北隅，村舍沿石蚶公路东侧分布。古称玉壁，村名来自村北海滩上一块突起的石头，形似峭壁。村内以林姓为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：宋朝立村之初，村北滩涂上有块突起的大石，远望如同一面峭壁。宋代属安仁乡江阴里，元、明、清属二十三都。[1]

民国十七年（1928年）划入莲埭乡，民国二十三年（1934年）改称石壁保，民国三十五年（1946年）归复兴乡。新中国成立后，1949年归晋江县第九区（永宁），1952年划入双湖区，1956年归莲塘区莲塘乡。[1][3]

1962年自成石壁大队，1984年改设石壁村民委员会。[1]

人口与村情[edit]

据2025年8月公布的村情信息，全村外来人口1720人左右，户籍人口1895人；住户534户，村民小组6个，村民代表44人。耕地505亩。[2]

人物[edit]

林梦飞（1909年至1994年）是本村人，先世曾移居台湾，1913年随父亲离开台北迁居厦门。[4]
