山坪村位于盖德镇北部，海拔750米，村域面积2.23平方千米，有3个村民小组。村名原与境内一处名为「黄坑坂」的地方有关，后因方言谐音改称山坪。[1]

地名由来[edit]

境内「黄坑坂」一处岩石上有人的脚印，深约5厘米，古人以为是神仙走过留下的，遂取「仙」字，后因方言谐音改称山坪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清末，此地有上地、大墘两村的先人前来开垦、立业。民国时期与大墘合为一保。1949年后与大圪合为一社；1956年并入盖德村所在的高级社；1958年大炼钢铁时村民迁往盖德村，之后陆续返回务农。山坪生产大队于1961年5月1日设立；1984年改大队为村委会，隶属盖德镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2017年8月，山坪村列入福建省第二批省级传统村落名录；2019年6月，列入第五批中国传统村落名录。山坪村在2022年10月经福建省农业农村厅认定，位列「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
