湖头村位于福建省泉州市德化县葛坑镇境内，东邻桂阳乡彭坑村，距镇政府约14公里。村中的香林寺是县级文物保护单位。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村民建居于山间谷地，谷地平坦，形如湖面，村名由此而来。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村庄海拔620米，属山区低谷平地。涌溪流经全境，村民多居住在河流两岸。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年析出一部分，另设湖头大队，归葛坑公社管辖。1984年起称葛坑乡湖头村，2000年随乡改镇，成为葛坑镇湖头村。全村设4个村民小组，分湖头、李田2个自然村。[2]

文化[edit]

元代至正年间，梓溪霸王郑宽永在李田设过考棚，用以选拔文武人才。明代，香林寺内设有「香山学社」，教授《四书》《五经》，村中出过进士和举人。[2]

文物[edit]

香林寺始建于五代。县人民政府于1995年把它定为县级文物，2021年又将其编入第六批县保名录。[3][4]

普查名录还列有湖头三德堂旧址，以及阿腊窑、下仓尾窑（宋代）和李田窑（清代），都是一般不可移动文物。[5]

荣誉[edit]

2021年6月，湖头村入选「福建省第四批省级传统村落」名单。[1]
