地名由来[edit]
据传，早年因战乱，许多人迁来这片四面环山的险要之地。新中国成立前此地称“招地”，新中国成立后改称“福地”，取福人居于福地之意。[1][2]
地理环境[edit]
福地村地处镇西南部，是一个小山村。东南面与安溪县接壤，西北面与牛姆林自然保护区毗连。[1]
经济[edit]
村里产茶、产黄花菜，也种毛竹。茶叶加工厂众多，黄花菜则是全镇主要产区之一。[1][2]
人口民族[edit]
县概况称，全县5个少数民族自然角落中，福地村的皇古角落属畲族。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期，此地归玉坑乡魁斗保。新中国成立后，先后隶属第一区、第二区、第三区、玉坑区和锦斗区，以及锦斗公社的合作社。[1]
1958年设锦斗公社，1960年设坑仔口人民公社，这期间村子都称福地大队。1984年改为福地村委会。[1]
