东平镇是福建省泉州市永春县下辖的镇，位于县城以东约五公里的桃溪下游，面积40.53平方千米，辖9个行政村。[1]

镇名取自原东碧乡与和平乡各一字。这里是革命老区，保存有永春县东区农民协会讲习所遗址和颜步青烈士故居，镇内另有昆仑寨、云峰岩等明代建筑。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清代，今镇域分属善政乡和平里的十五、十六都。民国时期，这里先后划归和平乡、东碧乡、东平乡和桃源镇。[1]

1958年3月设东平乡，同年10月改称东平公社，公社驻地在太平。1984年改称东平乡。[3]

1991年11月改乡为镇。1998年9月，东关、东美、溪南、美升、外碧等地划出，归新设的东关镇管辖。[1]

2011年，东平镇被确定为市级小城镇综合改革试点镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

镇域地貌以丘陵为主，属亚热带季风气候，全年湿润多雨。[4]

镇内水系属桃溪流域，桃溪在境内称东平段，支流有大份溪、狮坑溪、中洋溪和乌石溪。镇内水库一座，即店上水库，另有山围塘三座、水闸两座。[4]

人口民族[edit]

2021年发布的镇政府简介称，全镇总人口2.08万人，设党支部17个，有党员673名。[1]

同一简介还提到，旅外华侨和港澳台同胞有六万多人。[1]

经济[edit]

镇里以农业为基础，水仙茶、芦柑与金线莲石斛是重点发展的特色产业。[5]

永春水仙茶的主产区是湖洋镇和东关镇，东平镇与五里街镇、石鼓镇等地次之。[6]

据2023年工作总结，镇获评「泉州市乡村振兴整镇推进“五好”乡镇」「泉州市集镇环境综合整治试点乡镇」和「泉州市2020-2022年度精神文明建设先进乡镇」等荣誉。[5]

东平镇于2012年12月获环境保护部授予「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。[7]

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网列有八处县级文物保护单位：李开藻故居、昆仑寨、云峰岩和世德流光坊位于太平村，丛桂庵与东山村农民协会旧址位于东山村，黄龙总兵祠位于鸿安村，永隆宫位于冷水村。[2]

镇内的景点还有紫云禅寺和李氏祠堂。每年正月廿四、廿五，镇内举行万人游龙灯，以纪念明代抗倭英雄李中和。[1]

著名人物[edit]

颜步青是东山村人，曾任东山启明小学校长，又担任东山村农会主席，并任永春县政务委员会委员。[7][8]

李文墨是冷水村人，字西园，1930年5月11日在永春县就义。[7][9]
