长新村位于龙涓镇驻地东偏南约6.3公里处，1961年析出时称长林，1981年9月因与外乡同名村重名，改为长新，寓意重新命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年析出建立长林大队，取长岸与上、下林各一字为名。1981年9月因同名，更名为长新大队；1984年改设龙涓乡长新村委会。[1]

明清时期此地属积德乡崇信里，民国后期归宝山乡溪林保，1949年划入第八区，1958年归龙涓公社的一个大队。[1]

地理环境[edit]

长岸为村委会驻地，管辖7个自然村，其中有几处农耕点，另有一处废村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，长新村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
