地名由来[edit]

社区名由北街与大东街两条街名组拼而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1980年以前这里属城关镇第五选区；1981年建成东北街居委会。1995年称东北居委会，2004年又改为社区。[1]

文化[edit]

凤城城隍庙为清代古建筑，列为县级文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，东北社区被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
