香山村是东桥镇的行政村，位于镇政府驻地以东约7公里处。村名来自境内的香山，据传山顶有一处莲花穴，时常散发莲花的香味。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属山前铺。民国时隶属东岭乡的西湖保。解放初，此地先后分属三区、四区与东岭区西湖乡。1958年属飞跃公社的西湖大队，1961年分出，设东岭公社香山大队。1985年起由东岭乡管理香山村委会；1996年10月东桥乡成立，村随之划入；1997年10月撤乡设镇，改称东桥镇香山村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，香山村入选福建省森林村庄名单。2022年10月，香山村获福建省农业农村厅认定，入选第二批乡村治理示范村镇。2024年3月，香山村被命名为「惠安县2023年度平安村（社区）」。[1]
