上村是涂寨镇下辖的行政村，村址的北面是灵瑞山，村中辖有上村与龚厝两个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：元朝末年，王姓先祖从晋江杏坂迁居此地，最初称杏村。四代之后，有人转往大池边重建房屋，族人渐多，取名「常春」，寓意吉祥长久，后音转为上村。[1]

元明两代此地归文质乡祥符里二十八都管辖，清代为崧林铺地。民国时期归涂寨区（乡）下的崧林保。1949年冬起隶属二区与涂寨区的松林乡；1958年并入飞跃公社，设松林大队；1961年分为涂寨公社下的松林与上村两个大队。1985年1月起称涂寨乡上村村委会。乡制改镇发生于1989年10月。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，上村村被福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2023年11月，被认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」；2024年6月，列入「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
