田边社区位于清源山脚下，原是泉州市区近郊的农业村，2003年4月改制为城市社区，是清源街道下辖的社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，此地为泉州府晋江县三十九都棠阴铺所在；民国时属晋江县西北镇，新中国成立初改属泉州市南台区。1958年组建北峰人民公社的田边大队，1984年设北峰乡田边村委会。[1]2003年4月，田边村和国营清源农场两者合为一体，成立田边社区居委会。[1][2]据博雅地名网，社区先民于五代时由河南迁入福建，至今居于此地。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

据2026年1月政府公示，社区常住人口1336人，流动人口约2300人，设居民小组7个、网格14个。辖区有持证企业180家，多为模具加工与纸品印刷等制造业，另有店面236间。[3]

政府公示的辖区面积约1.5平方千米，博雅地名网则载约0.9平方千米，两说并存。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]社区党组织先后获市、区先进基层党组织称号，社区获市级文明社区、区级平安社区和区级城市卫生管理先进集体等称号。[3]
