东湖社区位于泉州中心城区，2002年6月整合设立，辖区面积0.6平方千米。社区名称来自泉州府城之东的东湖，此湖旧有“七星伴月”的说法。[2]

2026年，社区住户1728户，人口5045人，另有3000多名流动人口，共30个居民小组、15个居民小区。北面以东湖公园为界。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，此地还是东海乡的东湖村；2000年起以居民委员会的形式管理，2002年6月并为东湖社区。[2]
