仙塘社区是福建省泉州市鲤城区常泰街道下辖的社区，位于街道北部，东接新塘社区，南临上村社区，西面和北面与南安市相接。[1][4]

名称由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，社区因境内夫人妈庙后方有一块仙石、前方有一口池塘而得名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，这一带划归南安县第九区华岩乡，称仙塘村。1953年，它改隶南安县丰州区，成为幸福乡下辖的仙塘村。1958年8月划归泉州市，编入江南乡华星大队；1961年体制下放后改称泉州江南乡仙塘大队，村委会驻仙塘村。[1][3]

地理与交通[edit]

社区面积1.5平方千米。距泉州市中心约11公里，有4路、40路公交车可达。[1][4]

人口[edit]

鲤城区人民政府网站的社区概况写作人口2052人（2012年）。博雅地名网另载常住人口2037人、外来人口392人，年份未注，两组数字口径不同，不能相加或互换。[1][3]

建设与荣誉[edit]

1970年代起，旅居海外的华侨吴世钟、吴家镜陆续为家乡捐资修建村道、田间线路等设施。九十年代以来，居委会办公楼、仙塘小学和社区隘门相继建成。[1]

社区曾获市级文明社区和市级青少年十佳活动场所称号。2021年11月获得省级卫生社区称号，2024年12月入选福建省儿童友好社区名单。[1][2]
