东北社区是开元街道下辖的社区，位于鲤城区中心市区，东与东升社区相邻，西与新春社区交界。[2]社区名称因其处在泉州市区东北侧而来。[1]辖区内有白耇庙。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

建政前此地属温陵小山保，建政后称东北街。1958年公社化时，东北街析出东升、东红两个大队；“文化大革命”期间称东红街，1968年改为东红居委会。[1]1980年地名普查后恢复原名东北，2002年整合后改称东北社区。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

白耇庙为明代建筑，列入泉州市市、县级文物保护单位名录，位于本社区。[3][4]
