历史沿革[edit]
宋元时此地归宾贤乡上查保，明初属西区上查保；民国时归阜安乡，保名为新墟保。[1]
1950年，此地归第二区管辖，设立新墟乡人民政府；1956年，该乡政府改为乡人民委员会。1968年文革期间，它改称大队革命领导小组。[1]
2024年7月，村子获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」称号，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
