新生社区位于濉溪镇镇中心区，社区名称寓意新中国成立后人民获得新生。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

「红一方面军总政治部旧址暨周恩来旧居」在民主街12号，县政府大院北侧。红军攻下县城后，总政治部曾设于旧县衙后院，周恩来在此居住一年有余。[2]

「闽赣省苏维埃政府遗址暨邵式平旧居」在中山北路10号，县医院住院部大楼东北侧一带。1933年11月，闽赣省机关从外地迁入县城。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，社区获评「2021年福建省卫生社区」。2024年7月，社区被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
