莘田村位于溪尾乡东北部，东邻湖山村，南邻溪尾村，西与长华村相连，北与本洋村接壤。全村由莘田、逢春、乌椎坑三个自然村组成。村名原称前田，后因方言谐音改为莘田。[1][2]

逢春寨[edit]

逢春寨位于逢春自然村，始建于1779年，占地约5000平方米，寨墙厚9米。寨内原建有560个房间，如今尚存主寨一厅等部分建筑。县政府于2010年12月把逢春寨定为县级文物保护单位。[2]

传统村落规划[edit]

2021年10月，尤溪县人民政府批复同意《莘田村逢春传统村落保护和发展规划（2018—2035年）》继续实施，该规划作为村庄建设与管理的依据。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办把莘田村命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将其认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2023年12月，被命名为「2023年度福建省森林村庄」。2012年5月，村被列为市级生态村。[1][2]
