中心村位于尤溪县新阳镇东部，地处丘陵，平均海拔约600米，东北面与西城镇接壤，距县城约18公里，辖8个自然村、17个村民小组。[1][2]

村中的林积（?～1091）是历史人物，其故乡在此，村内下白泉建有林氏纪念堂。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，最早入住的于、林两姓在南宋时由福州侯官迁入，定居在上白泉、下白泉一带。明清时此地属六都，解放初设中心乡。[1][2]

1958年另立中心大队，1984年起改设中心村，并设村民委员会。[1][2]

人物与古迹[edit]

林积考中科举后，曾任河南转运使。村中林氏纪念堂的匾额题作“少师府”。[2][3]

村内罗家盘（字景星）曾任国民军旅长。村中今存炮台一座，现已改作中心村茶厂的办公楼。[2]
