大合村位于太华镇东部，距镇政府约15公里，万川公路经过村子。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村内一个自然村形似大鸽，“鸽”与“合”的方言读音相近，村名因此而来。[1]

沿革[edit]

明清时叫作三十六都。民国期间与坑头并称合坑保。1950年归第三区大合乡，1965年改隶前坪公社，1970年重新并入太华公社的大合大队，1984年设大合村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，大合村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2024年7月，获得「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」称号。[1]
