桂坑村位于上京镇西北部，是革命老区村，下辖桂坑、陈厝坑、黄城岬三个自然村，距镇政府所在地约12公里。[1][2]
村内的萧氏林埔大宗祠位于黄城岬，为福建省涉台文物保护单位。抗战时期，当地地下党游击队在村中设有交通站。[2]
地名由来[edit]
村中一处祖坟的形状像龟，此地原称龟坑；因「龟」与「桂」读音相近，改称桂坑。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子位于群山环抱的山区，海拔约623米。东边与太华镇的良溪、高星两村相接，西面接东风农场的吉坑，北面与东风农场登榜桥一带为邻，南面与桃源镇玉田村毗连。[2]
三个自然村在山坑间呈「品」字形分布。农作以水稻为主，兼种甘薯、木薯与玉米；烟叶、茶叶和油茶是主要的经济作物，红菇为本地特产。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期，本村归聚贤里管辖。这一里属桃源司，下辖四十八个自然村，本村为其中之一。[2]
民国时，陈厝坑曾叫舍京村，属于桃源区的八寨保。1961年公社设置之际，本村由桃源镇分出，改隶上京公社。1984年后改为上京镇桂坑村村民委员会建制。[2]
革命历史[edit]
1942年至1945年间，林大潘等地下党游击队在村中设立交通站联络点。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
萧氏林埔大宗祠位于黄城岬自然村，是福建省涉台文物保护单位。据博雅地名网，祠的始祖萧遵于960年迁居黄城岬，子孙分布于台湾及海外。2009年3月，萧万长为宗祠题词。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
