洋坑村位于大济镇西南部，东面紧贴马鞍山，南面是南林山，北侧隔木兰溪与文殊村、龙坂村相望。村名源于一条纵贯田洋的大坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明正统年间（1436年—1449年）以前，这里是杨氏聚居之地，村旁一条大坑穿过田洋；“杨”与“洋”方言读音相近，故称洋坑。清乾隆年间（1735年—1796年）曾改称杨溪。[1]

民国时属善化镇，解放前归善化乡；新中国初期叫钱园乡，隶第六区（大济）；1950年改入四区，1956年并入城关区。[1]

2003年，村中耕地1251亩，林地4638亩。[1]

洋坑龙水宫位于东荷自然村，为仙游县一般不可移动文物点，保护范围四面各向外延伸。[1]

洋坑欧氏民居同在东荷自然村，也是仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[1]

经济[edit]

2021年11月，村庄被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]
