后埔村旧称鹤山，位于仙游县西部、木兰溪上游，度尾镇的行政村。东与中峰村相接，西与西苑乡半岭村交界，南以木兰溪为界，与湘溪村隔溪相望，距镇政府约5公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

开族始祖林孟明自唐代由莆田定庄迁居鹤山，后世在此定居。明代林添中考中进士，任山东临清县训导；清代嘉庆年间林大章中举人。[1]

革命历史[edit]

1947年6月，闽中戴云纵队在后埔组织分粮，相关遗址为「后埔破仓分粮旧址」，包括三教祠粮仓（即鹤岭书院）和下亭粮仓。后埔村曾被授予革命基点村称号。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

林氏大宗祠列为县级文物保护单位，大殿、天井和石构件保存较完整。村内另有清代古民居二十余座，以及唐代所建的清泉亭和观音山寺。[1]
