溪东社区位于榜头镇东部，仙水溪与木兰溪环绕全境，故名。2016年6月，原溪东村改为社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年8月仙游解放后，榜头一带先成立了临时政府。同年9月，榜头与兰溪两地合并为仙游县第五区，此地被称作溪东乡。[2]

1952年溪东乡并入坝下乡，同年8月又重新分出为溪东乡，1957年7月成立东旗高级社。1958年实行人民公社化，1961年体制下放，坝下乡分为坝下大队与溪东大队。[2]

1984年11月设立溪东村委会；2016年6月，村改为居委会。[2]
