田边村是埭头镇下辖的行政村，靠着大蚶山北麓，濒临兴化湾，东侧与汀港村衔接，北面隔海可望涵江区与福清市。村落面积3.5平方千米，辖8个自然村，设13个村民小组。村内有滴水岩风景区。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村境早先有大片田地，村民在田边建房定居，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年时为12区田鹅保；1950年设田鹅乡，1952年和1954年两次归22区田鹅乡管辖。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

滴水岩风景区始建于明朝中期，上世纪九十年代重新修建。[1]

经济[edit]

村以农业为主。北麓约2.5公里的海岸线，浅滩上养殖紫菜、龙须菜和牡蛎；村中有玉叶牡蛎的繁育基地。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，村被命名为2023年福建省卫生村。[1]
