西田村属福建省莆田市秀屿区笏石街道，村名取西黄与田头两个自然村的名字各一字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年隶属第5区的笏石四保乡；1950年改为第5区大崙乡，1952年转归笏石区大崙乡。[1]

1954年至1955年划入第16区西田乡，1956年改属笏石区华田乡，1958年设笏石公社西田大队，1984年起属笏石镇西田村。[1]

荣誉称号[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会在2022年12月命名西田村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2023年11月，西田村被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
