凤山社区位于莆田市荔城区镇海街道，在原莆田市政府驻地一带。[1]

社区得名于境内的一座高山。因山地处凤穴，村民便在山麓建居，故称凤山。[1]

社区共有1765户，居民8239人，土地面积0.45平方千米，下辖12个居民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，此地隶属崇业乡；明清两代归入一区左厢。[1]

1929年，此地属原第一区城东乡，1943年归城厢镇凤山一带。2002年起，此地为荔城区镇海街道下的凤山社区，由凤山社区居委会管理。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

1926年下半年，陈国柱任中共莆田支部书记期间，安排莆田籍党员趁周日到乡间，对农民讲授反对帝国主义与封建统治的道理。该旧址即中共莆田咸益女中支部旧址，位于金桥巷78号。[1]

陈展如故居位于城墙巷，建于1932年，属莆田早期的欧式民居，为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位。[1]

玉井陈氏民居位于井头巷8号，清乾隆年间海澄陈氏县令定居莆田，此处为其居宅。[1]

2021年2月，凤山社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
