黄龙村隶属涵江区庄边镇。村名据民间传说而来，相传村中曾出现黄龙。[1]

近年村子获得的称号有「2021年福建省卫生村」、「2021年度福建省森林村庄」，以及2022年10月认定的「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时此地属兴化县，明代改隶莆田县广业里。民国时这里设黄龙乡，属莆田县第四区。新中国成立后，又先后隶属第十区、第十四区和第十三区的黄龙乡；1958年为庄边人民公社的黄龙大队，1968年由革命委员会管辖。1984年设黄龙村委会，2002年5月起属涵江区。[2]
