长兴村的村名来自村内的长兴宫。村中的白沙长兴宫为清代建筑，是涵江区第八批文物保护单位。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年设立村委会，属白沙乡管辖。1988年归入白沙镇，2002年起为涵江区白沙镇的长兴村委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

白沙长兴宫在村部东南约40米处。宫庙建于明代，清乾隆年间的1761年重建，近代修缮，仍保留清代原有的建筑风格。宫庙为一进廊院式，坐东北朝西南，主殿面阔三间，双坡悬山顶，内存一些清代构件。石柱背面刻有「乾隆廿六岁次辛巳仲秋立」的纪年。为涵江区第八批文物保护单位。[3]
