江尾村是福建省莆田市涵江区白塘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西南部，梧桥路中段，全部为平原地带。全村下辖5个自然村，共10个村民小组。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村地由内海滩涂围垦而成。原先水田中间有一条港汊，港尾通往海里，村落与耕地正位于港尾，因此得名江尾。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代江尾属武化乡仁德里，明清两代属二区仁德里。民国时期先后归第二区的显埭乡联保、漏显乡管辖，后隶属涵江镇。新中国成立后属第二区，1952年改属第六区。1956年6月以后先属梧塘区双安乡，后属集奎乡，其后组建江尾高级农业生产合作社。人民公社时期为涵江人民公社江尾生产大队；1966年底成立的革命领导小组于1980年12月取消，村名仍为江尾生产大队。1984年改归涵江乡，此后自1993年起属白塘镇，并设江尾村民委员会。[2]

2024年1月，江尾村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
