东沙村是福建省莆田市城厢区东海镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西南，北侧临省道201线（滨海大道），南面临湄洲湾内海，海岸线长1公里。[1]

村名的由来是：早年村民多住在大山东麓，把沙地开垦为农田，故名东沙。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

东沙村1949年设立，1956年改为莆田县兴安乡，1958年设东沙管委会。1984年10月由大队改为村民委员会，隶属灵川乡。[1]

1988年起划归莆田县灵川镇，1999年改隶莆田县东海镇，2002年纳入城厢区东海镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

福厦铁路、福泉高速公路与省道笏枫公路穿越村境，交通便利。[1]

文化[edit]

村内有东沙抗捐暴动旧址，以及蔡襄纪念馆（端明殿）。蔡襄纪念馆建成于1982年，为「县级重点文物保护单位」，馆内收藏蔡襄生平遗物与书画作品。[1][2]

2020年11月，东沙村被认定为2020年度莆田市中级版「绿盈乡村」。2021年11月，东沙村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，东沙村先后三次列入淘宝村名单。[1]
