海头社区是福建省莆田市城厢区东海镇下辖的社区，东海镇政府所在地即在其内。社区由海头村于2018年8月改制而来。[1][2]

社区下辖4个村民小组，辖区内的民营企业以服装、织带、五金等行业为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

相传当年海头一带与灵川镇同属一处时，几个村各自取名，分别叫青山、平原与海头，海头之名由此而来。[2]

1962年这里属灵川区，1984年改为灵川公社。2002年至2018年为城厢区的海头村，2018年8月改为海头社区居民委员会。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2020年11月，海头社区被认定为2020年度莆田市中级版「绿盈乡村」。2021年2月，社区入选「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单，同月获司法部、民政部公布为「第八批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。海头社区于2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱卫办命名。[2]
