后埔村是福建省厦门市翔安区新圩镇下辖的行政村，村内以种植业和养殖业为主。村下有后埔、西洋、田中央、下寮4个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村址位于大埔山下。村后锡头山西坡旧有一村名锡头，锡头村后有片荒草埔，此村因之称后埔。[1]

清代属长兴里的锡园保，民国时改隶长兴乡美后保。1950年归第四区后埔乡，1956年并入牧茶乡，1958年并入新圩乡。[1]

1959年析置后埔大队，隶布塘公社；1960年改属汀溪公社，1961年转属新圩公社。1984年改设后埔村，属新圩乡；1988年归新圩镇。1997年为同安县辖区，2003年改隶翔安区。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，后埔村入选「2020年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单，主产生姜。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予后埔村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
