溪西村是五显镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东北部，毗邻新圩镇，背靠北辰山和竹坝水库，距镇政府10千米。村名以村子所在的方位命名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代隶属长兴里一至三都中的北头与辜东两保。民国末（1943年）属长兴乡竹山保；1950年改成竹山乡；1959年编入布塘公社，称竹山大队。[1]

1961年从竹山大队分出溪西大队，归汀溪区果园公社管辖。1984年，它改为五显乡下的溪西村委会，1997年划归同安区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2008年，溪西村被评为「厦门市第十一届文明村」。[2]
