水洋村在莲花镇政府驻地西北方向，距离约28公里，辖2个自然村，村名取「水」「洋」二字。[1]
地名由来[edit]
杨姓族人从安溪的三洋迁入，依傍水源定居，村名便取「水」「洋」两字。[1]
人口与产业[edit]
村中住户269户，人口979人，设5个村民小组，年份未注。村子以农业为主，岩葱是主要的收入来源。2011年村集体收入9万元，人均纯收入7971元。[1]
沿革[edit]
清代此地归感化里的小坪保。民国后期隶属莲山乡杜川保，此后归杜川一带的建制；1961年自杜川大队中析出，单设水洋大队，1964年归莲花公社，1984年设莲花乡水洋村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
