后埔村在莲花镇政府驻地的西北方向，约3.5公里，村名来自村后的一片荒埔。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

据博雅地名网，村中住户497户，人口1791人，设8个自然村与7个村民小组，年份未注。村民靠种植生姜与养殖锦鲤谋生。2011年村集体收入23.45万元，人均纯收入8438元。[1]

沿革[edit]

清代此地分属归德里六、七、八都的沟尾保。民国时期归莲山乡后寨保管辖，1950年成为第三区后寨乡的一部分。1959年与莲花村合组后寨大队，属莲花公社；1961年改设后埔大队。1984年设立村委会，隶属莲花乡，1991年乡改镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村子西北的莲花山上有太华岩摩崖石刻，为宋代遗存，列为同安区级文物保护单位。保护范围涵盖「太华岩」「灵源」等石刻，并向外延伸至岩体周边50米。[2]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2020年12月，被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
  • 2022年9月，获福建省农业农村厅推介为「2022年福建省美丽休闲乡村」。[1]
  • 2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
