溪西村在集美区西部，连接后溪镇与灌口镇，面积约4.15平方千米。村名因地处后溪溪流以西而来。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时这里属仁德里十三都，1912年以后改隶十二都的四溪保。1940年代，先后归海山乡和集美乡管辖；1950年属第二区，1955年归后溪区后溪乡。1956年划入灌口区海山乡，1958年10月成为郊区后溪公社后溪大队的一部分。[2]

1959年后溪大队分出溪西大队；1971年与新村大队合并为前进大队，1979年又析出溪西大队。1984年10月设后溪乡溪西村委会，1987年划属集美区。[2]

经济[edit]

2021年10月和2022年10月，村两次列入淘宝村名单。2021年11月，被命名为2021年福建省卫生村。2025年5月，被认定为2025年厦门市「一村一品」专业村（乡村旅游）。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

下庄自然村东南的河南山顶上有河南山寨遗址，寨墙用不规则的块石垒成，平面近圆形。[4]

下庄社南侧的村路旁立有杨惕轩墓道碑，花岗岩质。[5]
