金湖社区是福建省厦门市湖里区金山街道下辖的社区，位于湖边水库东面，金山东路西侧，面积约0.8平方千米，是一个混合型社区。[2]

社区辖区主要包括上湖社、洪塘社两个自然村，并有保障性住房小区和多个商品房小区。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在民国初为西宫保，1945年后划入湖边保。1950年初，上湖、下湖、洪塘归五通乡；1958年10月，随后坑一同归入前线公社后坑大队。[1]

1984年起归禾山乡，由后坑村委会管辖；2003年并入后坑社区体系；2004年9月划归金山街道。[1]

2010年3月26日，后坑社区析出上湖社、洪塘社、龙湫一里、龙湫二里，设立本社区（见后坑社区）。社区概况则记为2011年3月成立，2012年下半年选举出第一届两委班子。[1][2][3]

统计所见，流动人口10642人，而常住人口为1975人。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
