墩头村位于福建省福州市福清市镜洋镇西南端，东张水库的源头在村域之内。[1]

名称来源[edit]

村子位于石竹山西麓，这里起伏不平的土丘很多，村舍建在山墩之前，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代归永福乡永寿里，清末改隶东张镇。1943年设墩头保；1950年为第六区墩头乡所辖。1958年组建大队，隶东张公社，1961年划归镜洋公社，1984年改称村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年12月，本村被列为福州市2022年度中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]
