海头村位于福清市上迳镇。旧时海潮可直达村前，村尽头设有码头，故名海头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

先人自泉州东门外的西塔迁来，旧属万安乡灵得里上都。清末归渔溪镇辖，民国时期为大联乡下的海头保。新中国成立后，1950年隶属第五区牌边乡，1961年划归上迳乡，设为海头大队。1965年8月成立海头村委会，下辖1至10组；1984年改为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，海头村被福建省爱卫办确定为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1] 福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定海头村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1] 2022年12月，海头村被确定为「2022年度福州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
