东埔村是福清市三山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区所在地，为福清市革命老区村[1]。

地名由来[edit]

古时福清湾的潮水自北面沁前一带可以直达村东侧，水波荡漾，村子最初称东波；后村舍建在山坡草埔之上，才定下今名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋代隶属崇德乡化北里，明代归东隅化北里下都。清末编入高山镇，1961年另立东埔大队，划入三山公社，1984年改设村委会，1990年随乡改镇[1]。
