海口社区位于福清市海口镇中心区，龙江在这里流入福清湾，社区的地名即取自这一位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这里属感德乡为民里。1943年划归海口镇，分设桥头保和金墩保。1950年仍属海口镇，1958年归入海口大队。1961年，海口大队中析出一片，另设居民委员会。2003年改称海口社区居民委员会。[1]
