东湾村在鉴江镇南端，下设东湾、石笏里与铁香炉三处自然村。村里以食用菌和蛋鸭为主要产业。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子坐落在溪流东岸的山湾里，故名东湾，后来简称东湾。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明至清末，此地隶贤二里；民国时期先后归第二区、第一区，并属鉴匹镇。[1]

1950年先设东湾乡，隶第二区；1956年归碧里区。1958年撤区改社，另立东湾大队，归碧里公社；1961年复区撤社，改隶碧里区的鉴江公社。[1]

1984年，大队改为村委会，仍属鉴江。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网载，全村总400户、1672人，未注明统计年份。土地总面积12.3平方千米，耕地1159亩。[1]

食用菌生产、蛋鸭养殖是主要产业，马铃薯、青枣、木瓜也是村中的特色农产品。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年12月，村子经福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名，成为「2022年福建省卫生村」；同月入选「2022年度福州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」。2025年5月，东湾村获认定为「福州市2025年市级“一村一品”专业村」，所列主导产业为水稻；同月，村子进入「福建省美丽乡村示范村」创建名单。[1]
