东湖村是东湖镇政府驻地，位于县城北郊，国道104在村中南北穿过。[1]

2022年12月，东湖村获评「2022年度福州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名来自村子东面原有的一鉴湖。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，村子隶属钦平上里。1963年设立东湖大队，1992年以后归东湖村委会管辖。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的「原东湖乡苏维埃政府旧址（东湖郑氏宗祠）」是东湖镇内的革命遗址。宗祠始建于元末明初，经历代修缮，现存建筑多为清代中期所建，占地1250平方米，为三进格局。1931年10月，邓子恢曾在此召集会议，商议开展减租减息，并设立东湖农会；1933年，此地设立东湖乡苏维埃政府。2018年9月10日，该旧址被列入连江县第六批县级文物保护单位。[2]
