古城村是南通镇的行政村，位于福州市南面约20公里处，是闽侯、福清、永泰三县的交汇地带。十八溪自村中穿过，十八重溪景区坐落于村内，该景区于2004年入选第五批国家重点风景名胜区。[1][2][3]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，古时福建省府曾拟在此建城，后改建福州，此地便保留“古城”之名。[1]

1960年，本地开始修建红城水库，大队一度改名红城大队；因水源不足，工程未能完成，不久改称古城大队。1984年设立古城村民委员会。[4]

人物[edit]

陈襄是北宋理学家，号古灵先生，被称为“海滨四先生”之首，仁宗、神宗时期任官，著有《古灵集》二十五卷。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

十八重溪景区坐落于本村，该景区于2004年入选第五批国家重点风景名胜区，区内有西溪瀑布、大帽山等景点。[2]

经济[edit]

金鱼养殖是村中的特色产业。2023年12月，本村获认定为「福州市2023年市级“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业为金鱼；2024年11月，又获认定为「2024年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」，产业为金鱼养殖。[1][5]

荣誉[edit]

2003至2005年度，本村获「福州市文明村镇」称号；2023年11月，本村被命名为「2023年度福州市“绿盈乡村”建设中级版村庄」；2025年11月，本村被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1][2]
