梅溪村所在地为福厦路27公里附近，紧挨东南汽车城。[1]

村名的来历：古时此地叫“对面山”，山麓溪畔有一处磨米的加工坊，溪流横贯村境，故称磨溪；后因“磨溪”读来不顺口，改称梅溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村原属傅筑村，1975年自傅筑大队划出，设行政分处；村民委员会在1984年成立。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，梅溪村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」；2023年11月，被命名为「2023年度福州市中级版“绿盈乡村”建设」村庄。[1]
